Samsung Galaxy M30 realised in two variants the 4GB and 64GB and the 6GB and 128GB. If somebody is using this phone a lot and if you can spend the extra money. I would recommend going to the 6GB and 128GB variant. Because the phone also supports expandability, and you can add a card up to 512GB storage on your device.
Pro build the quality of the M30 is built wide well the overall design of the phone, is also modern. It has taken the summary design that is showing 2018. So you get a water drop notch on the front of the device. And the display morale covers of the phone with a small change at the bottom.
The back of the phone has three cameras and the fingerprint sensor. Everything is flash with the back of the device which makes it looks likely more premium. Also, the new colour design and layout of gradient back panel, make the phone extreme premium. One thing that is a big light is the plastic build quality on the back.
The 5000mAh battery this phone is only 8.5 millimetres thick which makes it rather comfortable in the hand. It has a plastic back panel which is easily prone to scratches. The display for a modern design and the display is a Super AMOLED display with 2280×1080 pixel resolution display. Which offers 394 pixels per inch density and is really good to look at overall.
Its full HD plus display that has great visibility Indoor and outdoor. A good amount of viewing angle is available on this display. And despite being in AMOLED display, the colour is accurately optimised and does not offer, the usual blue tint reduce on AMOLED display.
Samsung also allows you to customise the colour profiles, that something you are looking for. If you don’t like the colour profile comes out of the box. Because the display covers almost entirely the front of the phone.
There is no notification LED light but there is the always on display which is customizable. And can give you notifications, missed call, then even messages directly on the lock screen. Which are thanks to the new Super AMOLED display.
The Samsung Galaxy M30 also has an interesting setup camera at the back. The primary 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and two 5 megapixel sensor. One for depth and one for Ultra wide-angle short. The Ultra wide-angle sensor is something you can use. On the occasional landscape short or maybe a group photograph, the primary 13-megapixel f/1.9 camera something that uses the most.
The Camera offers live focus capability large you to create death as per your requirement and also control the aperture that is applied by the phone on your picture.
Most interesting is The Samsung also offers the live portrait dolly effects, and the other live focus effects available on hire and devices, in the past than now available on the Galaxy M30 the work well and you get a good overall result. Secondary depth sense also allows for better focusing capabilities and death performance, from the senses which things to work great.
While taking auto mode you will get consistently sharp images with good colour reproduction, and a good amount of contrast available there are some Pro features available including manual control, over ISO and shutter speed that something you are looking for.
The video of the main camera is restricted 1080p but you can expand and to the size of the screen which is 2280 x 1080 pixel however using this format anywhere online sharing, this video on YouTube or even on Facebook, is not gonna give you a good overall result, and will not be the most compatible format, So I will recommend taking the stand in 1920 x 1080p video.
I would like to see 4k video from this device but unfortunately, that is not available. A lot of phones in this price racket to offers 4k video from the main cameras, and this is where the Galaxy M30 definitely missing.
The front camera is a 16-megapixel camera within f/2 aperture while as not as good. As the f/1.9 f2 is good the 16-megapixel sensor means, that the front facing images are slightly larger in image size.
However, if you sharing them online most apps including Instagram on WhatsApp will compress the images, and reduce the file size anyway, so you get usable good quality images, altho a smaller megapixel larger pixel size sensor been appreciated on the front.
The front offers live focus capabilities using software with seem to be ahead or images, sometimes the blear out your hair and sometimes they get it in focus. So already confusing on the front camera whatever using it without the life of capability images, are sharp you also get a beauty mode if you like to touch your face before presenting it into the world.
The Samsung Galaxy M30 EXYNOS 7904 this is a 14nm ship within OCTA CORE CPU and the MALI G71 MP2 GPU. The weather cores are laid out, allow for better battery life you get 2x performance with 1.8 GHz on the clock, and 6x 1.6 GHz Core there be used for daily usage and multitasking.
Now EXYNOS chipsets on Samsung devices are highly optimised, Apple also does with iPhone and they are on ships. Samsung is able to control the hardware and software well, which deliver a good consistent daily performance. That being set you are comparing it to the raw performance. To get on the Snapdragon chips and GPU will not get the same results on the EXYNOS Chips.
And this is evident when you look at smart results from the Galaxy M30, that being set daily performance from the phone is really good, and if you are planning on gaming on the Galaxy M30 you will be happy to know that, games like PUBG on high graphics and their works really well.
The phone is available in two options one with 4GB ram and 64GB storage. And the other with 6GB Ram and 128 GB storage. If you are planning on gaming and multitasking on this device a lot. I would recommend going for the 6GB variant, it doesn’t mean the 4GB variant can’t handle games.
Samsung Galaxy M30 runs Android 8.1 out of the box is still missing Android 9 is an update. And you are still now getting the one UI out of the box. Something that I would like to see specially in 2019 Samsung has been behind on software updates. From many of the devices, Undertake usually 6 to 8 months before the start pushing updates to their phones. And that’s to be consistent even now.
Samsung is too promising an update to Android 9 and with that, the Samsung one UI will also be available on the Galaxy M30, when how and if yes or no is presently unknown. The Samsung Galaxy M30 is missing some of the usual suspects, was fine on Samsung devices including Samsung pay a pay Mini.
The phone is also missing it dark mode features, something would be seen on the new A series devices. As well which basically make the user interface turn into a dark, or black user interface versus the usual white that we see on Samsung devices.
Most of these issues are however the software related and can be easily fixed with the software update hopefully, Samsung does push out an update to Allow for this thing to work specially, Samsung pay or pay mini, which is started to work really well. The Phone supports HD streaming. And it has Wild Wild Alvin certification for those who are interested with this place.
The Display also good for consuming video content as I mentioned earlier has great viewing angles. Also, the phone comes with Dolby ATMOS, so if you plug in your headphones. Good quality headphones you will get a good overall experience, from the device and listening to music. The overall output from the 3.5 mm headphone jack is also impressive.
The Samsung Galaxy M30 also takes in two dedicated SIM cards and the 3rd slot for MicroSD. The expansion is there on the device, both SIM card support view LTE and LTE data connectivity. And call quality and network strength are good.
Audio from both speaker and microphone is impressive and the microphone with noise cancellation works very well, in delivering audio from you to your receiver and cancel out most of the background noise, and I am surprised to hear the quality of the audio from the Galaxy M30.
Now thanks to large 5000mAh Battery, the phone to work easily for 2 days without requiring a recharge. Even with heavy used as we found the battery easily last 30-40 percent at the end of the day. Which is something that you would expect from a phone that has a 5000mAh battery.
Thanks to the good software Optimisation feeding find the phone heating up in any of our users, or test which is a great and overall performance on the phone remain consistent with no battery draining whatsoever, of course, it may be a little early to say that the battery performance, with remaining consistent throughout so will have to space this in a longer period.
